Demitrious Pagourtiz is accused of killing eight students and two teachers at Santa Fe High School.  Former US Attorney Matthew Orwig says Texans in other parts of the state likely aren't as emotional about this case as the residents of Galveston County.

"People certainly might not be following the story as much and as personally and as intensely as they were, so if you're looking at what the jury pool is going to be, it was a reasonable move by the judge."

Prosecutors had contended that they would weed out anyone with bias during jury selection.

Pagourtiz was 17-years-old at the time of the murders, so he is not eligible for the death penalty.
