DALLAS (KRLD) - Police are trying to learn if councilman Kevin Felder crashed into a teenager on a scooter, and then left without rendering aid.
This reportedly happened around 11:30 yesterday morning, on Malcolm X Boulevard in south Dallas. Witnesses say Felder hit the teen from behind as he rode his scooter. The teen was not seriously hurt. He tried to talk with Felder through the car window, but witnesses claim Felder left the scene before officers arrived.
Police say they aren't rushing to judgment and have not taken Felder into custody, but his car was towed from a public meeting last night so officers could search for evidence.
Felder could be charged with a felony if police discover that he did not stop to render aid.
