DALLAS (KRLD) - A Dallas ISD school is mourning today after one of their students is shot and killed.
Police say 14 year old Rubin Washington was shot just before 1 p.m. Wednesday along South Tyler Street in Oak Cliff. They also believe several witnesses were present when he was killed.
Washington was an 8th grade student at W.H. Atwell Law Academy. Counsellors were on campus for students or staff that needed them.
School officials say his classmates have asked to wear school colors, which are red and blue, Friday in Washington's honor. They will also release balloons in his memory.
