FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - The president and CEO of JPS Hospital in Fort Worth is putting the blame of an elevator accident last month squarely on the shoulders of the company contracted to maintain them.
That’s the company that the hospital hired to maintain the elevators throughout the hospital. On January 20, as nurse Carren Stratford was getting onto one of the elevators, it continued to rise, causing her to lose her balance and get crushed.
She’s been in the ICU ever since with traumatic brain injuries. Earley says he’s dissatisfied with how TKE responded after the incident.
We have reached out to TKE Elevators for a response and have yet to hear back.
