KELLER (1080 KRLD) - A Keller man is being remembered by one of his coaches, following his murder outside a nightclub in Albuquerque.
23-year-old Jackson Weller was attending the University of New Mexico to play baseball. But before that, he went to Nolan Catholic High School in Fort Worth.
Athletic Director Rene Ramirez coached Weller during the pitcher's senior season and says he was the glue that held the team together.
"He had a great sense of humor and kept us loose all the time. He was very good to his teammates, especially the senior group. But one of the things I admired the most about him was that he always looked out for the younger guys too," he says.
Ramirez says Weller was the kind of person that always had a smile on his face.
There's no word yet on what led to the shooting. Police are still looking for the killer.
