Long-Time FWISD Trustee T.A. Sims Steps Down After Nearly 36 Years

FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - The longest-serving Fort Worth school board member is calling it a career.

District 4 Trustee T.A. Sims has offered his resignation, ending nearly 36 years on the Fort Worth school board. 

First elected in 1983, Sims has served as school board President, Vice-President and Secretary. 

His term was due to end in 2021 and the board has not decided how his seat will be filled.
