DALLAS (NBCDFW/KRLD) - Dallas police have arrested a man suspected of carjacking a woman on Wednesday afternoon.
Footage from NBC 5's Texas Sky Ranger showed a shirtless man armed with a gun forcing a woman out of her car. The man then appeared to fire his gun and drove off, leading to a police pursuit.
The man crashed into a pole and ran on foot into a residential area in North Dallas where the pursuit ended inside a home.
Police initially began chasing the man on foot into a wooded area near the intersection of Abrams Road and Chimney Hill Lane in North Dallas.
Texas Sky Ranger captured the man on video when he emerged from the woods, undetected by police, and carjacked a person in the parking lot of Saint Croix Apartments in the 12200 block of Abrams Road.
The man was visibly bleeding as he was taken away on a stretcher.
It's not clear what started the pursuit.
