DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Some exciting news from the Dallas Zoo, a second baby gorilla is joining the family.

One of the Dallas Zoo's gorillas, 13-year-old Megan, gave birth last week, and today is the first day the public can see mom and the new baby.

Senior Director of Animal Care Matt James says the troop's other baby, 9-month-old Saambili and her mom Hope, are curious about the new addition.

The baby's gender is still unknown, as Megan is keeping it too close to let keepers see.

She and the baby can be seen anytime the zoo is open, though it's best if you come early.
