DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - The man arrested for a sexual assault in Uptown Dallas earlier this year now faces a new charge.
Dralon Patterson, 33, of Dallas faces a new aggravated sexual assault charge out of Mesquite.
Police say a woman told investigators she met Patterson using a social media app and arranged an in-person meeting on January 23, 2019. Police say at that meeting the woman said a man using a different name sexually assaulted her. Police say they were able to link Patterson to the attack.
It was around the same week as a woman in the Uptown area of Dallas reported a sexual assault in the parking garage of a building on Howell street. Several days later, police spotted Patterson acting suspiciously. He was arrested after a short foot chase.
Investigators say they were able to link Patterson to another sexual assault from November 2017. That previously unsolved case was reported in the West Village area of Dallas, not far from Uptown.
Patterson remains in the Dallas County jail on bond over $750,000.
