Adopt a Senior! it's an online trend happening in many cities across America including right here in the DFW.

Because of the Coronavirus pandemic, many high school students are missing out on major milestone, graduation.

People like Nya Dye, are making a way to celebrate their accomplishments. Dye is celebrating her 10-year High School reunion from the Dallas Independent school district by supporting this year's High school seniors across DFW.

When she heard about the trend online, she decided to create a local Facebook page called "Adopt a Senior Class of 2020 Dallas-Fort Worth".

Each senior has their picture and a list of their favorites in their post which adopters can use to buy them graduation gifts. Exchanges of gifts are handled by the student's parents in direct messages and follow up posts are encouraged with pictures or videos of the senior opening their surprise.

Nya says one student’s elaborate gift basket reveal has been one of her favorite's so far.
