Arlington Begins Nationwide Search For New Police Chief

    ARLINGTON (1080 KRLD) - With the police chief in Arlington having worked his last day today, the city has begun a nationwide search for his replacement.

Will Johnson retired today following a 23-year career with the Arlington Police Department, serving as its chief since 2013.

During the search for Johnson's replacement, the police department will be run by two assistant chiefs -- Jaime Ayala and Kevin Kolbye – on an interim rotating basis.

Later this year, Johnson will take over as the chief of the BNSF Railway police force.
