SANGER (1080 KRLD) - Shot by a Denton County deputy, an armed man is dead this morning.
The man was wanted on felonies out of Florida. So, with warrants in hand, deputies tracked him down to a home in Sanger last night.
But he saw them coming and hopped out a window, hoping to run for it. But the deputies were right on his tail so he pulled a pistol. They ordered him to drop it, he refused, and that's when he was shot.
He made it to the hospital but was pronounced dead.
They're not saying anything about the man's name but the Sheriff is expected to give more information today.
