AT&T Stadium in Arlington has been ranked the most haunted major sports venue in the United States and Canada in a new study by The Sports Geek.
The home of the Dallas Cowboys scored 62 out of 100, finishing ahead of Dodger Stadium at 60 and Wrigley Field at 57. Researchers examined 47 stadiums and arenas, scoring them on published paranormal lore, Reddit discussion, venue age, documented history, named recurring ghosts, and proximity to burial sites. AT&T Stadium was the only venue to receive a perfect score for published ghost stories, even though it opened in 2009.
The Dallas Observer noted that Keystone Cemetery sits just 0.326 miles from the stadium, a factor that contributed to the ranking. Staff accounts cited in the study include a former employee who reported hearing movement inside an empty restroom stall late at night while both exits were in view. Kitchen workers have described dishes floating into the air before crashing to the floor, with some employees reportedly quitting afterward. Other reports mention unexplained cold spots near a room named for former Cowboys coach Tom Landry, along with shadows, voices, and footsteps that stop when someone approaches.
The Sports Geek emphasized that the scores reflect documented stories and historical context rather than verified paranormal activity. The ranking is based on a Haunted Stadiums Sourced Audit completed earlier this month.
Cowboys fans and stadium visitors have long shared similar anecdotes online, but the new list is the first to place AT&T Stadium at the top of a national comparison of major venues.
