DALLAS (KRLD) - Austin teachers are getting raises. This comes after Governor Greg Abbott signed House Bill 3.
Beginning in August, teachers, counselors and librarians in the Austin school district who have more than five years of experience will get a 7% pay raise.
Other school district employees will get a 6% raise.
Bilingual teachers will get an extra $1,000. Special education teachers will receive an extra $500.
