After hearing from more than 100 people last night, the Carroll school board delayed implementation of a racial diversity plan.
Some have demanded the plan because of racist incidents in Southlake schools including a 2018 video showing Carroll Senior High School students using racial slurs.
Last night, the school board voted 5-to-2 to "receive" the plan but to delay putting it into action.
One group tells the trustees to "focus on fall classes, not setting up a district diversity police."
But another group named the Southlake Anti-Racism Coalition demands trustees denounce what they call "individual and systemic racism in Southlake and unequivocally state that Black Lives Matter."
