
Across Texas COVID-19 continues to spread, and Governor Greg Abbott is warning it's going to get worse. Texas has it's deadly day yesterday when it comes to the coronavirus with 105 deaths confirmed.
Governor Abbott has added several Texas counties to his previous order increasing hospital capacity by suspending elective surgeries.
Dallas County was on the original list of seven. No North Texas counties are included in Abbott's latest proclamation.
Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley says it's a testament to the hospital CEOs who have been communicating with one another to ensure that they all maintain ample capacity.
On Thursday Dallas county reported 1,201 new positive cases and 10 more deaths. That brings the total number of infections since the pandemic began in Dallas County to 30,361, and 436 total deaths.
Collin County says 160 new virus cases were reported, along wtih 3 deaths. They now have recorded a total of 4,108 infections, and 56 deaths. 3,287 people have recovered.
Denco County reported 115 new cases and 1 death. Total of infections since the pandemic began is 3,697 cases, 38 deaths. 1,322 have recovered and there are 93 people with COVID-19 in hospital beds.
Ellis County has 68 new cases, 1 death. The total number of cases is 1,533, 20 deaths.
