DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Four months after the construction crane collapse in Dallas, cars will be removed beginning today from an apartment building parking garage.

During high winds on June 9th, the massive crane fell onto Elan City Lights on Live Oak near Central Expressway.

The crane was removed just last month.

Now, heavy cranes will begin lifting cars from the damaged garage - probably ten or 12 a day.

They'll be taken to a storage location and owners can begin the process of re-claiming them.

The cars are being loaded onto wreckers and taken away. People can then get inside at a different location and take out anything they need. Live report at 11:03 on @KRLD. pic.twitter.com/ZhMwgJtkID
