DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Police say someone messed with a gas pump and allowed car after car to fill up, amounting to nearly $3,500 worth of stolen gas.

Dallas Police say it happened at the Shell Station on Stemmons Freeway. Officials say the unidentified suspects went inside and paid for $5 worth of gas.

After that, the suspects pried open the front panel of the pump, and disabled the manual shut off switch. Police say a line of cars was waiting to fill up.

The suspects were driving a white Chrysler 300 and a blue Ford Mustang with two white stripes on the trunk.
