A 4-alarm fire caused by a 7-year-old has displaced 22 residents.
Dallas Fire-Rescue received a call early Saturday morning from the Forest Edge Apartments on Audelia Road.
When they arrived, they found a 2-story apartment building with flames shooting from the roof.
All 12 units of the apartment complex were destroyed.
The apartment's security guard was the only person to sustain a minor injury.
Investigators tell NBC 5 the fire was accidental in nature, and that a 7-year-old boy had started the fire by playing with a lighter inside a closet.
The boy will be enrolled in the DFR's Juvenile Firesetters Intervention Program.
