DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - The Dallas County Community College District is postponing its May 3rd election for new board members until November 3rd.
Two positions on the board will be part of the general election this fall instead of next month.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott in March gave local jurisdictions the authority to move their normal spring elections to the fall as part of the state-wide effort to limit the spread of COVID-19.
The candidates who had already filed for a spot on the May ballot will be on the November ballot.
Voters will choose trustees in District 5 and District 6 of the DCCCD.
