Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins said Wednesday that the county is moving its COVID-19 risk level from 'RED', down one to 'ORANGE', for the first time since May.
Red (Stay Home - Stay Safe), Orange (Extreme Caution).
This step was made by officials as the positivity rate continues to drop across North Texas.
Under the lowered threat level Jenkins says doctors say people can do things like expanded shopping beyond essentials.
Small events can also be held with 10 people or less, and Jenkins says healthy people under 65 can eat at restaurants.
These are all recommendations from Doctors, as long as people continue to do so with standard coronavirus precautions including social distancing, wearing face coverings and washing your hands.
Officials are asking that people still avoid high risk activities.
