Dallas County Reports Drop In New Positive Coronavirus Cases

The coronavirus continues to spread across our state. But here in North Texas, for the first time in 18 days, Dallas County reported fewer than one thousand new cases.

 Dallas County reported 734 new positive cases and 11 new deaths on Tuesday.

Tarrant County confirmed 663 new cases and 5 deaths, while 218 new cases (a daily record) were reported in Denton County.

158 new cases and 1 death were reported in Collin County.

There are currently just over 1,900 people hospitalized with the virus in North Texas. Officials say more than 2,700 beds are still available this morning as well as 370 ICU beds, and nearly 1,200 ventilators.Across Texas, the state is reporting another 9,300 new Coronavirus cases, that is up about 1,900 from the day before. Another 131 people died, twice as many as the previous day.
