Mayor Johnson says while people may want to help, food and clothing donations are not needed at this point. But if you would like to make a monetary donation, the city has set up the Dallas Emergency Assistance Fund

Meanwhile Rocky Vaz with the City's Emergency Management Department says they are surveying the areas hit right now.

Thousands of people across the city are still without power and Oncor is working feverishly to get electricity back.

Our first priority is the safety of our people. Remain vigilant for possible gas leaks and structural damage to buildings.
