Dallas will begin removing the Confederate Monument from Pioneer Park.
A vendor will begin setting up scaffolding and will bring in a crane to remove the 65 foot monument.
Catherine Cueara with the city of Dallas says the monument is both tall and heavy and will be difficult to remove.
The entire process will take around 2 months to complete.
The monument will be stored at Hensley Field.
The city council voted to remove the statue last year but it had been held up in court due to an injunction.
