Monday is the deadline to register to vote in the Texas primary runoff election being held next month. It was postponed to July 14th because of the pandemic.
Early voting starts June 29th.There are two statewide races on the Democratic side of things; one between Senator Royce West and Air Force Veteran MJ Hegar. Whoever wins will challenge Senator John Cornyn for his seat in the fall.
The other Democratic primary runoff is for a seat on the Texas Railroad Commission.Voters on both sides will also decide a handful of congressional and legislative runoff races.
