Filming for Samuel L. Jackson’s new Paramount+ series Frisco King continues to disrupt traffic in Southlake today and part of the day tomorrow.

Crews are back on the west side of the city near Players Circle on Tuesday, May 12, with a half-day shoot scheduled for Wednesday, May 13. The Southlake Department of Public Safety reports intermittent rolling traffic pauses along FM 1709 between Randol Mill Avenue, Davis Boulevard and Peytonville Avenue, plus full closures on portions of Players Circle.

Officials say they are coordinating with production teams to keep delays brief, avoid rush-hour impacts and notify nearby businesses in advance. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes and allow extra time.

This is the second recent round of filming in Southlake. The production previously closed streets in the city’s Town Square in late April, drawing crowds and attention. Frisco King is an eight-episode spin-off of Taylor Sheridan’s hit series Tulsa King. The Paramount+ drama began production earlier this year and is scheduled to film at multiple North Texas locations — including Fort Worth, Plano, Frisco, Keller and Denton — through July.

The project highlights North Texas’s growing role as a filming destination for Sheridan’s expanding universe of shows. While it brings economic activity and Hollywood visibility to the region, it has also meant periodic road closures and traffic adjustments for local residents.
