DENTON (1080 KRLD) - The Denton County Office of History and Culture is looking for their next class of junior historians.
The program is open to any high school student from Denton County, who wants to engage with local history. Chosen participants will get to design exhibits and work with historical artifacts from the museum's collection.
The group meets twice a month at the Denton County Courthouse-on-the-square, will volunteer at special events, and attend occasional Saturday afternoon field trips.
Students from high schools in Denton, Flower Mound, The Colony and Little Elm made up the bulk of last year's class.
The application deadline is August 30th. You can find more information on the Denton County website.
