The DeSoto ISD is looking for a new superintendent this morning.
Superintendent D'Andre Weave resigned during an emergency school board meeting yesterday afternon.
DeSoto schools have been under threat of a potential state takeover for financial mismanagement during the tenure of the previous superintendent, David Harris, who served from 2012 - 2018.
In a 4-3 vote yesterday trustees named board-appointed conservator Don Hooper the district's acting superintendent until a permanent replacement can be found.
