“The Federal judge today said that Mayor Turner had violated our rights, that we had done everything we could to try to make it happen digitally at the last minute because the mayor had forced us into that situation,” said Woodfill. “And the judge said, Nope, I'm gonna allow you to go and have an in-person convention and you can do it this weekend, and I'm going to give you even next weekend.”
Mayor Turner contends that 6-thousand delegates in one facility was a clear and present danger due to the pandemic.
The City could file an emergency appeal.
