DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Classes are canceled today at a few North Texas schools due to the flu.
Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic School will be closed through next Tuesday, February 18th, because an excessive number of students are out sick.
The private school sent out a letter to parents yesterday explaining the decision to shut down. All sports and other extra-curricular activities are also canceled.
And St. Thomas isn't alone, Grand Saline schools in Van Zandt County is also closing until Tuesday.
On Tuesday the Rio Vista school district announced it will also be closed through February 18th for the same reason, when over three times the average number of students called in sick.
