Former Fort Worth Police Chief Joel Fitzgerald has a new job, leading the police department in Waterloo, Iowa.

Waterloo, Iowa is a city of 68,000 people, that's about about ten percent the size of Fort Worth.

Fired last year, Fitzgerald has recently been a deputy chief for the Philadelphia Sheriff's Office. But yesterday, a Waterloo newspaper reported Fitzgerald has been named that city's police chief.

Fort Worth says he was fired because City Hall lost confidence in his leadership.

Fitzgerald is suing the city, saying he was fired for blowing the whistle on corruption.
