The Fort Worth ISD will hold a virtual town hall tonight to answer questions about the district's reopening plans.
The district held a town hall in Spanish last night, and Superintendent Kent Scribner tried to answer questions about what online schedules for students would look like.
Scribner explained some plans are still being finalized but said students in pre-K thru 5th grade would have at least 3 hours of online instruction each day. Older students would have a minium of 4 hours of learning.
Teachers will also offer virtual office hours for students who need some extra help.
Principals are already back at work getting campuses ready for online learning, and next month teachers attend more training sessions to help improve online lessons.
The district will provide hot spots for students without reliable internet connections. And the district is making plans to provide meals to students who rely on free lunch.
Tonight's virtual Town Hall in English starts at 5:00pm.
