FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price is isolating herself in her home after learning she had been exposed to a city employee who has now been infected with the Coronavirus.

Mayor Price made the announcement during a Facebook like video update from her home. She says she's getting tested and will remain at home until she gets the results.

The city confirms that an employee in the Joint Emergency Operations Center tested positive yesterday.

“Our JEOC has been prepared to respond to anyone within the JEOC testing positive by having rotating shifts, limited contact, social distancing at workstations, and more,” City Manager David Cooke told NBC 5.

“This unfortunate positive test shows that no one is immune to the virus and everyone needs to remain vigilant and stay safe,” Cooke added.
