A woman has died in a high-speed crash that Fort Worth police believe to be the result of street racing.

Late last night, just before 11 p.m. a car crashed on University Drive just about a half-mile north of TCU.

911 callers frantically told police the driver was trapped in the mangled wreckage and that wreckage was on fire.

Police, paramedics and firefighters rushed out there but by the time the driver was pried free, she was already dead. Police learnned that she may have been racing another car and apparently failed to negotiate a curve.

They don't know who -- or where --  the other driver is.
