DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - The Coronavirus has claimed another high-profile victim, but this time it's a restaurant.

The Highland Park Cafeteria, a Dallas institution for close to a hundred years, will not be reopening.

They were down to just the one location in Casa Linda which closed in mid-March along with every other restaurant in town.

At the time it was thought to be a temporary closure, but two months with no customers was too much to overcome and now that temporary closure has become permanent.

The owners say they'll begin the process of auctioning off the contents of the restaurant this Friday and presumably that would include the iconic framed photos of every U.S. President.

This comes one day after another local landmark, the Lizard Lounge in Deep Ellum announced that it too will not be reopening
