Irving Police are investigating the death of a newborn baby. Officers were called to a restaurant on North Belt Line Road just before 5 o'clock Friday afternoon. They found the body of a newborn in a trash can in the restroom. Police believe the child had been born in the restroom and then placed in the trash can. The infant's body was discovered a short while later when employees cleaned the restroom.
