KELLER (KRLD) - Fort Worth police now say an attempted child abduction near Hillwood Middle School did not actually happen. The Keller ISD had sent a letter home to parents warning about the incident after the initial outcry by a student.

The girl had told her mother that she had been waiting for her at a nearby intersection when a man pulled up next to her in a car. He told the girl that her mother had asked him to pick her up and that she needed to get in, but the girl refused. She gave a description of the man as a white male in his mid 30's, 5'6, skinny, with short black hair and blue eyes.

Fort Worth Police now say their investigators have determined that the initial report was fabricated.
