Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick will be headlining a three-city Team Trump Campaign bus tour in Texas starting on Thursday with two scheduled events in San Antonio and one in Granger.
On Friday the big red bus will head to Bedford.
The target audience that Team Trump is hoping to reach is unclear based solely on the schedule. RICE University Political Scientist Mark Jones has a suggestion of who it might be.
“This type of bus is designed almost exclusively to mobilize the base with Dan Patrick at the helm,” said Jones. “It's unlikely to bring many crossover voters away from Joe Biden and to Donald Trump.”
Texas Democrats kicked off one of their most advantageous voter registration pushes this week. Party spokesman Abhi Rahman calls it historic in scope.
“We're trying to contact 1 million voters in hopes of getting them registered this entire week,” said Rahman. “It’s is a game changer in Texas and it could be the difference between winning and losing.”
