DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A man wounded by Dallas police this morning is still in the hospital. He was shot alongside the north-bound side of Spur 408 near Kiest in southwest Dallas.
Just before 1 a.m. police got 911 calls about a man on foot firing a pistol alongside the freeway.
The first officers to arrive saw him and suddenly he started shooting toward them. The man was wounded by return fire but it's expected he will recover.
A statement from the police department says the preliminary evidence at the scene is in line with what the police officers report.
