It's back to school today for many North Texas school districts where students are returning to classes either online or in person.
Students in Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Coppell and Mesquite will start with virtual learning only today along with the Grapevine-Colleyville ISD.
Some districts like the Argle ISD and Aubrey ISD in Denton County are allowing students to return to campus today, while virtual learning is also available for those students .
With classes set to begin Sept. 8, the Dallas Independent School District continues to distribute equipment to students to help them prepare for the coming school year.
Dallas ISD officials have yet to decide whether the fall semester will begin with all-virtual learning, or if some students will be allowed to begin the school year on-campus.
With the situation still in flux, Dallas ISD Superintendent Dr. Michael Hinojosa joined the KRLD Morning News with an update on Monday.
On Monday, Aug. 17, the Dallas ISD started handing out computers for elementary students. Parents can pick up backpacks that include a computer and a hot spot to make sure they have internet access. Monday's distribution runs from 9-11 a.m. at Joe May Elementary and Wilmer-Hutchins Elementary.
