DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - While wearing a mask is quite common nowadays there are four Dallas-area restaurants where servers and other workers are not allowed to wear face coverings. And some of them don't like it.

Face masks for employees are banned at Houston's in Addison and at three Dallas restaurants including R&D Kitchen, Hillstone and The Honor Bar.

They're all part of the California-based Hillstone Restaurant Group which has made it company policy saying no employees with covered faces because, apparently, it doesn't match the restaurants' style or image.

Some employees are worried about it but no one is talking publicly for fear of losing hours or losing their jobs.

The Hillstone Website explains, saying "current orders do not require our staff to wear face masks."

While masks have been strongly encouraged by Dallas County health and CDC, they are not mandatory, and Texas Governor Greg Abbott did not require them in his plans to restart the Texas economy.
