One person has died after being struck while on foot on I-35 in Northwest Dallas.
Just after 10 p.m. the 911 callers reported the incident on the south-bound side of I-35E near Royal Lane.
Police quickly closed all lanes to allow for the remains to be picked up and for police with flashlights to fan out across the freeway looking for evidence.
Police cannot say why the victim was walking on the freeway.
