One person has died after being struck by traffic in southeast Dallas this morning.
The 911 calls came in just past 4 a.m. saying a pedestrian had been struck on the east-bound side of Highway 175 between Prairie Creek Drive and Saint Augustine.
The victim was clearly dead when paramedics and Dallas County Sheriff's deputies arrived.
They quickly closed all east-bound lanes for the investigation and clean-up.
Investigators can't yet say why the victim was on foot on the freeway in the first place.
