PLANO (1080 KRLD) - A Plano police officer has shot a man following a reported stabbing.
The incident happened around 9:00 a.m. Monday in the parking lot where a 7-Eleven used to operate on E. Parker Road.
Police say an officer was nearby and quickly arrived at the scene.
David Tilley with Plano Police says the officer observed the suspect with a knife chasing another person, and commanded the suspect to drop his weapon. When he didn't, the officer fired.
Tilley says they are still trying to determine a motive for the attack.
The officer was not hurt and has been placed on routine administrative leave.
