ONALASKA, TEXAS (KRLD 1080)- Volunteers are working non-stop to rebuild Onalaska, Texas after a deadly tornado last week.
The massive tornado killed three people, injured others and destroyed and damaged hundreds of homes. The cleanup continues.
Clay Steelman is with Samaritan's purse. It's a Christian organization that helps people around the world.
Steelman says, "The work they are doing is chainsaw work, debris removal, and carrying out construction material to the curb."
He says they help people rebuild their lives in one city and then carry on the wisdom they've learned through that experience to another city.
Steelman says, "You can really honestly say...you know what...God's got you. You've got this and you will move on. You will get used to the new normal that is coming before you."
