DALLAS (KRLD) - State Farm Insurance is trying something new with its latest hiring event. Jobseekers can apply from anywhere since it will be held online.
The 13-hour virtual job fair will begin at 7 a.m. Thursday. State Farm spokesperson Chris Pilcic said, "It's surprisingly similar to an experience that you would get in person. You log onto a website. You choose a booth, where you're entering a space to have a direct conversation through chat with a recruiter."
The positions available at State Farm include claims, customer service and technology. Pilcic said the company is looking to add thousands of team members this year, including a significant number in North Texas.
Those wanting to take part in Thursday's virtual job fair are asked to register in advance.
