DALLAS (KRLD) - The state has rested its case in the Amber Guyger murder trial in Dallas.
Earlier today, a witness in the trial pointed out the fired-officer was wearing a taser when she shot Botham Jean in his own apartment.
DPS Ranger Michael Adcock testified that a picture shows Guyger wearing a taser, which prosecutors say would have been a less-lethal option. However, under cross-examination, Adcock said a taser has its limitations.
Guyger has said she parked on the wrong garage floor, went into a hallway that wasn't hers and ultimately pushed open the wrong apartment door. That's when she shot and killed Jean, believing he was an intruder.
The trial has recessed for the day and will continue Friday.
