FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - A teenager who was shot in south Fort Worth Sunday evening is in critical condition.
Officials say the incident happened at around 7:00 p.m. on South Sylvania Ave., just south of SH 121.
"The victim was shot in the head," says Ofc. Jimmy Pollozani. "The victim is in critical condition."
At this time, it's unknown what led to the shooting.
"Right now, we're not going to be releasing the motive of the shooting," says Ofc. Pollozani; "but I want to reassure that there is no threat to the public, and this was an isolated situation.
So far, no one has been arrested.
"There were people that were actually detained out on the scene, but there are no individuals in custody at the moment," Pollozani says.
