Texas-OU To Again Feature Late Morning Kickoff

DALLAS (KRLD) - For the second straight year, fans headed to the Red River Showdown in Dallas will need to set an alarm.

The University of Texas athletics program on Thursday released the official start times for several games on the Longhorns' 2019 football schedule.  That includes the annual Big 12 matchup with Oklahoma, which will kick off at 11 a.m. on Oct. 12 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.

UT will open the 2019 season under the lights at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin.  The 'Horns will host Louisiana Tech at 7 p.m. on Aug. 31.

The Sept. 7 game with LSU in Austin will start at a previously-announced time of 6:30 p.m.  The Sept. 14 matchup with Rice at Houston's NRG Stadium will begin at 7 p.m.

The Longhorns will close out the regular season at home against Texas Tech on Friday, Nov. 29.  That game will kick off at 11 a.m. in Austin.
