Police in Arlington are investigating the death of a 3-year-old boy at a home on Maple Springs Drive. Police say it appears the boy was accidentally shot by a family member.
Police were called out to the home shortly before 12:30 Monday afternoon. They found the boy with a gunshot wound to the head.
Arlington Fire and EMS crews attempted life-saving measures as they rushed the boy to Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Arlington Police Department's Homicide Unit is investigating the case. Police have not said whether charges will be filed. T
